Trinidad Hotels

From executive flagship hotels to intimate boutiques...

A quiet cup of delicious Caribbean coffeeMany of the best Trinidad hotels are clustered in and around Port-of-Spain, the capital city, where several new flagship hotels have been constructed to meet the growing demand from the business, conference and tourist travel markets.

Here's our experience...

Hyatt Regency, one of the newest Trinidad and Tobago hotels Quality Accommodations

Many of these establish Port-of-Spain hotels have responded to the expanding market with refurbishment projects and facility upgrades of their own.

We've enjoyed sumptuous meals and lazy Sundays at the Trinidad Hilton, the hospitality of Hotel Normandy, the warmth of Coblentz Inn, the charm and character of Crews Inn, spectacular evenings at Kapok Hotel, and dinner and dancing at the Crown Plaza.

 New World-Class Trinidad Hotels

We have yet to experience all the world-class facilities available at either the new Hyatt Regency, Trinidad, or the Carlton Savanna in Port of Spain, but after our brief visits to both we have no doubt that they will surpass your grandest expectations, they did ours.

Courtyard by Marriott, Port of Spain, Trinidad HotelThere's also the new Holiday Inn Express at Piarco International Airport, and the Courtyard by Marriott in western Port-of-Spain, both of which provide excellent accommodations for the more cost conscious visitor.

With Trinidad's new state-of-the-art passenger ferry, you can commute to San Fernando aboard the convenient Water Taxi. Consequently, the entire island is now within easy reach of your comfortable Port-of-Spain hotel room. However...

There are also a number of excellent San Fernando hotels that service Point Lisas Industrial Estate, Point Fortin and the islands industrial south.

Trinidad hotels, Port-of-Spain Boutique Hotels

For those wishing to take advantage of the islands natural beauty and amazing biodiversity, who don't mind more rustic accommodations, you may wish to stay closer to the beach at either Salybia, Grande Riviere or Blanchisseuse; or tucked away in amongst the tropical rain forests of Trinidad's Northern Range at the Asa Wright Nature Center Lodge. Or, you may simply choose to stay on the foothills overlooking Port-of-Spain in one of Trinidad's beautiful boutique hotels, as we often do.

When selecting your business or vacation hide-away remember to book early, especially during the busy seasons of Christmas and Carnival, and during major conferences like the Summit of the Americas or the Commonwealth Heads of Government Conference, 2 major functions, both of which were scheduled during 2009.

When booking your room be sure to enquirer whether taxes have been included in your rate as Trinidad hotels are subject to 15% VAT (Value Added Tax) and 6.5% hotel tax.

Wherever accommodations you choose, and whatever your purpose of your visit, if you take the time to explore we know that you’ll have an amazing Trinidad vacation, and you’ll be back.
