Our Romantic Beach Vacation

An engaging visit to our very own tropical island...

It took me completely by surprise. Our romantic beach vacation started as just a few days to relax on the beach in Tobago. Previous Trinidad and Tobago vacations had been great; this one would become very special. Our day began with breakfast in bed, and lazy stroll down to the beach...

 Romantic Coastal Cruise 

The next thing I knew, my boyfriend was telling me that he had arranged a little island cruise for us, and that our boat, CocoMotion, had arrived. True enough a sleek powerboat was drifting just beyond the gentle surf.

Within moments, we were on board and streaking along the coastline, stopping to investigate beautiful Tobago beaches along the way. Suddenly, as we moved into deeper water, I noticed a small sandy island in front of us, complete with a beach umbrella, towels and a cooler.

 I Adore Surprises 

My prince charming smiled, this romantic, beach-vacation picnic had been arranged just for the two of us. Reportedly, I got all giggly about then, but that's just what he says.

Finally, seated on our own private Caribbean island, my prince charming popped the cork on a bottle of champagne and poured us each a glass. With the flick of his wrist and the dexterity of a magician, he produced a well chosen diamond ring and proposed. You guessed it; I said yes, misty eyes and all.

 Candlelight Dinner 

They say good things come in threes, and I agree totally. My third surprise was the best. No, there wasn't any candlelight at our engagement, just sparkling sunshine, white sand and aquamarine sea, but you can bet the candlelight came later, at dinner. Actually, it's a bit of a blur. I am not sure if the twinkling lights on that Caribbean evening, were stars or the candlelight reflecting off my engagement ring.
