Planning Your Caribbean Sailing Adventure

Sailing in St. Vincent and the Grenadines can be a great adventure for you and your family. Some vacation planning tips are obvious, such as when and where to go. Other things to consider include who you want to have aboard as crew, and what to take.
The most crucial decision is who will be your crew. It is really important that everyone on your vacation trip understands that life aboard a sailboat can be a bit like camping and has little resemblance to a week at Club Med. Cooperation and a sense of give and take go a long way toward making the vacation all that you want it to be.
Another planning tip is to limit everyone concerning what they can take along. Sailboats have limited storage. Most people take more than they need, so a good idea for first-timers is to lay out what they are thinking about taking and eliminate stuff until about half has been weeded out. A final suggestion is to ask your crew to pack in soft-sided duffel bags. Telling them that they may have to share a bed with their luggage may make the point.
A sailing vacation in the Grenadines may be the best idea you've ever had.
Hi Bob and Susie,
These are great Caribbean sailing adventure tips. We've visited St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and my husband loves to sail, but we we have yet to combine the two and go on a Caribbean sailing vacation. We just need to find the right people so we can really enjoy the adventure.
